Goody, Goody Gumdrops

We explored the idea of using triangles to create strong and stable structures. The children first used cardboard pieces and brads to create squares and then triangles to play with this idea. Then we used gumdrops to create structures that could hold the weight of at least one book. Guess how many books are strongest structure held? 27! Pretty incredible! Every partner group was able to meet the goal! (see photos on the Shutterfly website)
