We are also taking part in a symbolic migration.  Our class colored paper butterflies, which were sent down to a school near the preserve where the monarchs fly to in the winter.  Each of our butterflies will be given to a Mexican child.  Then in the spring when the real monarchs are migrating, we will receive a paper flock of monarchs.  In my eyes, the symbolic migration represents strength, 

perseverance and of course, friendships.
