Nutcracker Memories

This lovely Marie ornament brings back memories from days gone by. I received this as a gift from my very first Nutcracker performance. A little girl brought me a package with tears in her eyes. I asked her what was the matter, and she said she had bought a special ornament for me but had dropped it on the bus. When I opened it, it was in about 5 pieces. I told her not to worry since that's what super glue was for. She would be all patched up in just a few moments, just like the Nutcracker in the real story. So I did just that. If you look closely, you can see the cracks. This ornament has meant so much to me that it has graced my tree every year for the past 29 years! As in the words of Dr. Seuss, "Sometimes you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."
