Children learn about some famous towers.  After this introduction to building, the children investigate what shapes and forms create sturdy towers. As a culminating activity, the students are challenged to create their own tower from newspaper beams and masking tape using the entire engineering design process from beginning to end. As a follow-up activity, children create their own digital Gami’s, animated cartoon-like people, and use them to explain how they built the towers. (This unit is so addicting...we love it!)
