After our monarchs became adult butterflies, each partner group tagged their butterfly with a small numbered white dot and recorded relevant scientific data.  We will send our observations and data to a real scientist.  Then if our monarchs are found in Mexico, we will be informed.

The photo shows the placement of a tag on a monarch.  The children recorded the number on the tag, the date of release, and if the specimen was male or female.
